- Dr. Jessica L. Leavey, a fully trained and licensed Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine graduated from New York Chiropractic College; one of country's premiere post-graduate chiropractic programs with a strong emphasis on academic performance and clinical traning.
She has a solid background in examination and diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system. Her background in personal training has provided her with a thorough and diverse knowledge base in rehabilitation exercises and nutritional supplementation for many of her patients.
Dr. Leavey grew up in Weymouth, MA and made the move to Manchester, NH in February 2005. As a resident of Manchester, she has become avidly involved in community organizations such as Manchester Young Professionals Network and Southern New Hampshire Womens' Business Network; as well as coordinating health workshops and community awareness programs. This involvement has allowed Dr. Leavey the opportunity to share her knowledge with the community about the tremendous benefits of natural healing through both chiropractic and nutrition.
Dr. Leavey has taught Anatomy & Physiology as well as Nutrition at a local, New Hampshire college as an adjunct faculty member. Leavey has also had the opportunity to work closely with other health care practitioners in her area, such as Naturopathic Doctors, Midwives, Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, Holistic Nutritionists, Herbalists, Certified Yoga Teachers, Childbirth Educators, Massage Therapists and other Chiropractors to continually gain an increasing knowledge base of natural medicine.
Dr. Leavey has had the pleasure of working as the local chiropractor for the cast and crew of touring groups including “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars.” She recently participated in a round table health care discussion with a 2008 presidential candidate.
Along with her husband, Dr. Leavey owns the online organic store Organic Virtues (www.OrganicVirtues.com), which provides affordable organic, natural and eco-friendly products for the home, garden and office. At Organic Virtues, Dr. Leavey is responsible for the environmental and nutritional education and research of their product line.
Dr. Leavey also practices reiki energy healing and teaches meditation classes at Healing Hands Chiropractic, LLC; her family wellness practice in Londonderry, NH(www.HealingHandsNH.com).
